WHO AM I ?..............
1. I am Pallavi Barua, though I like this name and have grown quite attached to it, I still wish I had some uncommon and unique name like Samhita, Pranaya or something... I find it very irritating to be one of the most common names of all...
2. I am a typical Gemini and all that is said in the book of zodiacs matches.. hehe !! though i like to think that I have more of the positive characteristics than the negative, and I grudgingly but fairly confess to my evil side *evil grin*.
3. Believe in astrology, fate, destiny, reincarnation, atlantis and aliens.
4. I like mountains and am a little scared of the sea and prefer solid ground under me anytime though I am quite happy swimming in a swimming pool. As long as its a pool its ok by me.
5. I like to sit on top of a hill and watch the rain coming from one side and being surrounded by just the hills and yes of course that someone who appreciates the same moment .. otherwise i am happy doing this alone.
6. I like the feel of marshmallows on my tongue. I like pizzas sometimes ... ummm ok lets put it this way.... I love food, any type and never behind at trying any new cuisine.
7. I like music and the choice ranges from ghazals to hard rock but that corresponds to the mood that I am in...
8. The same goes for books. I am a voracious reader but like to read the books as per my mood again.. Like poring through Archies, Robin Cook, Leon Uris, Tolstoy, Dostovsky, Wilbur Smith, Grisham, when I like it and the best way to have a good winkie is to get hooked on to Mills and Boon I think. It gives me good zzzzzzs.
9. Yes I am romantic and incurable one at that and I have never failed at my umpteen matchmaking attempts which used to happen just by coincidence so frequently that I used to think that the angels above had given me this special task just to bring two lonely or searching hearts together...
10. I love dogs and if possible I shall have a family of dogs cats and horses and yes I associate well with the tiger... and no wonder my chinese horoscope says that I am a tiger... GROWL !!
11. My best part of my life till now was when I was in Shillong ... and nothing beats that except that I am liking the idea of my life in Bangalore too... I am hoping that there are many more best times to come....
12. Friends are something i cannot do without but have been taken for a ride by a few and that has made me really careful ... so i know many people but have very very selected close friends.... One cannot have everything so I am happy being a people's person as long as I can go home and rant to my hubby about all and sundry...
13. My hubby is my best friend and if he is white I am black and for that I am so very thankful.. I would not know what to do with someone who talks as much as me.... he he !! God has been kind to me after few heartbreaks and well I guess I must be really thankful.. I am Iam ... dear god do not mistake me !!!
14. Love doing candlit dinners and cozy campires with him.
15. Gift of the gab is something I was born with.
16. Love being able to speak in different languages. Am a bilingual by birth.
17. Met my hubby on the net and ours was one of the new marriages and relationship through the net..
18. I love to laugh and make people laugh. I hate people without a sense of humour. But ironically even though i am known to be the proverbial comedienne I cannot for the life of me tell a joke.. It falls flat everytime.. Do not ask me how I am known to be the laughing buddha by my friends... hehe !!
19. I can be very very serious when it is needed but my friends do not believe me unless they have seen that side.
20. I am conscious about my appearance and I like to be well dressed and chic. I am on the plumper side but like to think that I am an elegant gal. I always pride of having the edge of being different than the people around me but mind you thats my pride... I know that I am as same as the next door gal but what the heck !!! It never harms to feel good once in a while...
21. I hate whining people... I believe in action rather than brooding on what has happened and how it has happened.. whenever there is a situation, i always think what next ? and though i might sometimes be pissing in my pants out of sheer nervousness, i never let the other party see this side of me and it works everytime to help me find a solution...
22. I like to think that I learn from my mistakes... stupid mistakes which i could have avoided in life but hey I am still learning...
23. I love to gossip with good friends and exchange spicy infos which somehow flies in via some bird or the other... but only with friends with whom I can share a laugh or two ... not spreading mean things about someone behind somebody's back.. i detest that...
24. I do not like to look back on the past and dwell on the could have beens coz that hurts... I like to look forward and move on though its damn difficult most of the times...
25. I am not that great fan of change but once I accept it its exciting... hate routine too on the other hand but lets say keeping the base strong I like lot of things happening on that base....
26. I like being by myself once in a while and just letting go and not do anything and just be as lazy as can be... basically not do anything but only for a short time
27. I am very fickle minded and like to do many things at a time and i am the proverbial jill of all trades but mistress of few...
28. I hate taking the same road home. I try and go by a different route everytime... or change my routes when it takes my fancy.
29. Have no idols and admire everyone who can make something out of their life and are happy about how they are living. Never could relate to people who used to be crazy about film stars.
30. I somehow end up playing the agony aunt with most people i know and am good at counselling but when it comes to my own life, I suck !!
31. Politics and religions are not my very favourite subjects.
32. I am emotional about the people I love and I can be very biased too. And I am equally unemotional and negative about people whom I do not like ( which are very few) and I can be pretty biased about them too...
33. Love for me is understanding and trust and then comes the frills.... it never works for me without the first two..
34. Marriage for me is a bonding between friends first and then lovers.
35. My personal space is something which I am very possessive about.
36. Family is very important to me, have been blessed with great parents and a group of aunts who dote on me and spoil me...
37. Keeping myself contented is my first priority which helps me in making others happy.
38. Getting old together with my hubby and getting old gracefully is a beautiful thought for me.
39. My concentration ratio is zilch :100 ... I cannot focus on one thing for a long time and thats why I have taken up meditation techniques to slow down the fast burning of my brain...
40. I get impressed very fast but I am fast at catching the view outside the rose coloured glasses or so I like to think and that is the result of many events which happened in my life.
41. I like to work and earn my own money and yes spend it too.. hate saving money which will be the death of me I know....
42. I like taking off with hubby dear in our bike and see different places in India.
43. I dream of becoming rich and spending my riches in travelling and constructing a beautiful house with big rooms and white fences bordering my house...

Love working with tarot cards... and all things occult. was enthu about palmistry once but stopped that, got to face and handwriting reading and that too got shelved after sometime due to the timely intervention of my dad who thought that i would go freaky if i continued and partly because i was attracted all sorts of people .. LOL....
48. Cannot call myself a hard core spritual person but its a way of my life...
49. Cannot get along with simpering idiots and people who do WOW at all sentences... find hunks with no brains UGH !! Atrificial conversation gets to me.
50. I get a kick with having a conversation which makes me think and of course where I can get to talk more ... he he thats why i get along well with the silent ones.... all my friends are quieter than me... subconscious choice I think *grin*.
51. I can make people very comfortable. I can make people very uncomfortable.
52. Like being happy and popular in my circle for the right reason and then again i can get the most lonely the moment i am with a big crowd.
53. Depression always hovers at my bay but I have managed to convert that cloud of despair into cloud of positive thoughts when I could and well there have been times when i have gone totally blue and cried myself to sleep alone for no good reason....

I am always a rebel at heart and end up doing things my way having my way... the major outcome of being the only kid in the family...when I look back to see what my parents must have gone through with me, i pity them.... and admire them for their patience .. with a crazy and unpredictable kid...am still a brat and exercise my brattiness over my poor hubby *evil grin*.

84. Like a typical Gemini, i can change personalities at the drop of my hat and that sometimes makes my friends nervous... but the ones that are close to me accept me that way... the others are well .. who cares ?
85. I never take life for granted. Have been in pretty impossible situations many a times and each has proven me right about this fact.
86. My pet hates are show offs and bad hygiene.
87. I still get stage fright when I am called to sing on stage in front of a large audience. Used to take off my lenses everytime I got on the stage so that I could see only a blur in front of me and then sing a song.
88. Used to steal and eat chicken my mom used to make when i was a kid ( dunno how that came up)
89. I can be a hypocrite when it requires but i avoid going down that lane... when i can...rather deal with people with a straight face and am hard core fan of diplomacy.
